Crawfordsville, July – Gus L. Gineris, elected commander of Byron Cox Post of the American Legion will be installed Aug 21 to succeed Carrol G. Beeson (O?). Others elected to serve during the coming year are Richard Wilhite, Vice Commander; Perry W. Lewis, 2nd VC; Ned Rickett, 3rd VC; Bernard Perry, finance officer; Russell Hesler adjutant; Arthur Lewellen, assistant adjutant; Raymond Coolman, Chaplain; Robert Plumer, historian; Walter Haney, service officer; Cecil Wilson sgt at arms; Harry Wolf and Jess Gobel, exec. Committeemen.

Crawfordsville Jan 24 - The six American Legion posts of Montgomery County hae formed a county organization or council.  Walter B. Remley, city was named chairman with Gus L. Gineris secretary and Fay Williams, Vice-chairman. Monthly meetings will be held, with the next one at Darlington.

Crawfordsville Jan 15 - Panel discussions conducted by the Wabash College Speech Dept in connectioni with business meetings of Byron Cox Post of the American Legion are proving popular among the Legionnairs of this city. Since the opening of the current academic year at the college, three panel discussions have been held at the Legion home here with members of the speech department faculty serving as moderators. Peace with Soviet Russia, universal military training and the future of the United Nations have been among the topics discussed. Round-table forums, fashioned after the town hall meeting plan also have marked each of the programs. The post commander, Gus L. Gineris, personnel director of the Mid-States Steel & Wire Company of this city is a WWII veteran.
